A journey begins with the first step. A member takes her first step with Impact Austin when she joins us. Where will her journey go next? What are her opportunities ahead?
Until recently, Impact Austin’s membership efforts focused primarily on recruitment and a follow-up orientation. These have been amazingly successful, thanks to founders Rebecca Powers and Phylis Donelson and their coffee teams. But with so much to learn, and so many ways to engage, does each new member really know where to go next on her journey?
Building on traditional recruitment successes, a large and bustling committee called Member Journey will build the infrastructure to guide a member from recruitment through onboarding, mentoring, engagement, and (eventually) philanthropic growth. Consider the amazing framework we’ve built around our grantmaking program – and now apply that same kind of organization and leadership development to membership.
We have a dynamic team in place* but additional volunteers will round out the Member Journey Committee and build its success. Opportunities exist in these areas:
Traditional Coffees – hostesses, hostess coaches, scheduler, speaker coordinators
Corporate Recruitment
Orientations – virtual and person-to-person
Member Renewal
Mentors for new members
