Town Hall is one of Impact Austin’s Signature Events. With over 200 attendees each year, this fun and informative fall gathering features philanthropic education, an update on the state of our collecting giving, and opportunities for member community and camaraderie.

The highlights of this year’s Town Hall include: 1) the award of the second Social Innovation Grant which will fund a collaborative focused on advancing equity for women and/or girls of color in the Greater Austin Area, and 2) a thought-provoking keynote on Trust-Based Philanthropy: Bringing equity, humility, and transparency to correct the power imbalance between funders and grantees.

Past Town Hall Meeting themes and speakers include: “Gritty Women” with Caroline Miller; “Imperfect Courage” with Jessica Honegger; and “The Changing Face of Philanthropy” with Andrea Pactor and Dianne Chipps Bailey.
Additionally, at the 2019 Town Hall Meeting, Impact Austin awarded the organization's first-ever Social Innovation Grant to the Innocence Initiative - a collaborative focused on addressing the adultification of Black girls in Central Texas.
