Impact Austin membership is required to volunteer unless otherwise noted.

This is a small BUT extremely important area where Impact Austin can utilize your available time and skills to help with our on-going operations by assisting the Executive Director and Operations Manager as your schedule permits.
Activities could include updating mailing lists, sending out thank you notes to sponsors, pulling together a mailing list, or calling contacts. There are so many opportunities to help in small ways with huge impact when you volunteer to assist with administrative activities.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee
One of our Core Values at Impact Austin is Inclusivity - we welcome all women with a passion to give, and a desire to learn. Diversity helps Impact Austin better understand and address the issues of the communities we serve.
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Committee is key to this effort. Its members help every part of our organization achieve diversity in our membership and make sure we are equitable and inclusive in all our activities. If helping to move Impact Austin toward being an exemplary organization in this area is something you want to be involved in, then the DEIB Committee is for you!
Impact Austin hosts three Signature Events each year: Annual Meeting, Town Hall, and Discovery Day.
As part of the Events Committee, you can volunteer for activities that prepare for the meeting such as overall event planning, venue search (when we meet in person), content development, speaker selection, program development, communications and video development. Bring your talents and work alongside other awesome women to pull off a GREAT EVENT for members and community alike! Nonmember volunteer opportunities available.
The Fundraising (Advancement) Committee develops revenue-generating strategies in the areas of marketing, branding, education, and fund development to support and advance the mission of Impact Austin.
Working with other committees, they create philanthropic education programs, corporate partnerships, and event sponsorships. The Fundraising Committee assists the Executive Director with prospecting and solicitation, identifying and connecting her to corporations, foundations, community organizations, and individuals who have the capacity to give and help Impact Austin.
This is a strategic and forward-thinking committee for members interested in proactively growing Impact Austin by partnering with potential sponsors and donors. Opportunity awaits!
Girls Giving Grants (g3)
Girls Giving Grants (g3) offers an amazing opportunity for volunteers to assist in the introduction of philanthropic giving to young women and girls. You will assist the g3 Chairs as the members (girls from 8th through 12th grade) go through the process of reviewing and selecting their finalist to receive the g3 grant. Your time commitment will bring rewards multifold as you see these young ladies spread their philanthropic wings.
Grants Committee or Grant Review Committee
The Grants Committee stewards member contributions throughout the Impact Austin grantmaking process. Members join Grant Review Committees (GRCs) to learn about community needs, evaluate applications from nonprofits, and recommend finalists for the full membership vote at the Annual Meeting in the spring and Town Hall in the fall.
Grants Committee members volunteer in leadership roles to support nonprofit applicants and grant recipients, engage with GRC members, and innovate and refine our grantmaking processes and systems.
Joining the Grants Committee in any capacity is a wonderful way to better understand Impact Austin's impact on our community in an up-close and personal way!
Grants Technology Support Committee
The Grants Technology Support Committee is part of the high-profile Grants Committee and a critical part of that operation! As part of this committee, you help maintain the Grant Management System, WizeHive’s Zengine. The Grant Management System is key to ensuring our community nonprofit grants are managed professionally from the initial registration of a profile through grant award and subsequent reporting.
You can also use your tech talents to support other tools and identify new ones to help our Grant process.
Inspire, educate, and inform others by volunteering with Impact Austin's Marketing Committee! The Marketing Committee: 1) develops and implements Impact Austin’s marketing strategy and associated messaging for new and ongoing initiatives, including Signature Events; 2) broadcasts Impact Austin’s philanthropic mission and community impact to our members, the nonprofit sector, and the community at large; and 3) manages Impact Austin's marketing assets and resources and develops new tools to help share our mission.
Volunteers share their time and talents (and may even develop new skills!) in a friendly and collaborative environment. We meet 8-10 times per year, and each volunteer oversees or collaborates on one or more projects.
Use your knowledge as well as your experience to introduce new members to the many facets of Impact Austin. From serving on a Grants Review Committee to becoming involved in fundraising or learning more about women’s philanthropy, you can help our newest members become aware of all Impact Austin has to offer.

The Membership Experience/Engagement Committee is a wonderful way to get to know the members of Impact Austin. This committee develops programs to educate and engage members and potential members about our Central Texas community and other philanthropic education topics. This committee works closely with the Membership and Fundraising Committees as well as the various Events Chairs to develop quality programs to inform and enlighten our members and prospective members.
This committee also coordinates our Zone Socials for members all over the Austin area. Being a part of this committee will enable you to use your expertise and imagination to offer a rewarding experience to our members.
One of Impact Austin’s Values is Curiosity. We are curious about philanthropy and how we can make a larger impact on our community here in Central Texas. Our members want to learn more about ways to give back to our community and have a greater impact.
The Philanthropic Growth team provides programing to help our membership become more informed about their potential impact. Your ideas are welcome on our Philanthropic Growth team!
Recruitment or Membership Committee
Memberships are the critical building block for everything that Impact Austin does – without members we aren’t able to issue grants or host our events or continue our youth initiative (Girls Giving Grants).
As part of the Membership Committee, you will be charged with recruiting new members into the organization as well as retaining current Impact Austin members through membership renewals. Members of this committee develop and initiate programs and events, ranging from individual conversations to small gatherings of 10-20 to community-wide events (NOTE all events are virtual until it is safe to gather in person). These events are not only a space for potential members to learn about Impact Austin, but also continue our philanthropic educational programming for ALL members. This committee is a great way to meet Impact Austin members, both new and long standing, and increase the depth of our membership!
The Technology Committee advises other Impact Austin committees and subcommittees on their technology challenges helping to understand their tech requirements and design solutions. This committee also assists in technology implementations across Impact Austin. Technology is crucial to Impact Austin automating and maintaining its technology platforms as we continue to be a cutting-edge women’s collective giving organization. If you have tech skills to share or want to hone those skills, maybe learn something new, we would love to have you join the Technology Committee. Nonmember volunteer opportunities available.
