Impact Austin Names Finalists for 2023 Spring Grants

Impact Austin's Community and Education Grant Review Committees (GRCs) have named two finalists each for spring funding. All four finalists will receive an Impact Austin grant at our June 5 Annual Meeting.

The spring grant review process kicked off with 74 applications for funding. GRCs chose the 12 strongest for deep-dive review in subcommittees. From there, three nonprofits in each focus area were selected for site visits. In this week's last meetings, GRCs named the finalists.

Congratulations to these finalists, our newest Community Partners.

Thank you to the 61 Impact Austin GRC members and the entire Grants Committee facilitating the Spring grant cycle. Details about GRC training were described in an earlier blog.

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT THE GRANTS PROCESS

The Grants team requires significant volunteer support to coordinate our twice-yearly processes, the work of GRCs, and communications with our Community Partners. Training and support are provided to new volunteers. While some roles require IA Grants-related experience, others do not. Most crucial areas of need right now are:

  • Co-chair or Advisor for Girls Giving Grants - no experience required

  • GRC Co-chairs or Advisors - veteran GRC members are ideal candidates

Please consider joining their team and reach out to grants@impactaustin.org.

Impact Austin's Fall grant cycle begins with a Nonprofit Workshop on June 30.
