Girls Giving Grants (g3) is the youth initiative of Impact Austin, a giving circle for girls in grades 8-12 and founded in 2006. Members of g3 pool $125 donations each year to collectively fund one grant announced in April. Each fall, training activities prepare them for the grant review process. Reviews begin in November. Here is a recap of their activities to date.
Our Girls Giving Grants giving circle is one step closer to awarding their $8,000 grant! Congratulations to g3 members and their finalists. Their 2026 g3 award has been funded through collective giving ($100 from each g3 membership) and from the $1,000 award included within the Lighthouse Award from Recognize Good received in October.
The g3 process launched in the fall with actual review begun in November. On Jan 11, Girls Giving Grants named their six semifinalists, which underwent deep-dive review by six Application Review Committees (ARCs). Now, g3 announces two finalists for their 2026 grant:

serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties

Congratulations to these nonprofits who are scheduled for site visits on Sat, Apr 11. Next, members will vote online Apr 11-15 for the finalist to receive their grant. Girls Giving Grants will celebrate with the awardee at their final meeting on Sun, Apr 19, as they present "the big check". Girls Giving Grants members will join Impact Austin's Annual Meeting on Jun 8 to again celebrate their 2026 grant.
The g3 giving circle has awarded a remarkable $130,600 through 21 grants to 19 nonprofits, making a tangible difference in the lives of countless youth in Greater Austin. Their 2026 grant will take their total grantmaking to $138,600! Discover their historical grantmaking impact here.
