The 63 members of Girls Giving Grants (g3) voted to select the Children’s Advocacy Center- Serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties as their 2026 grantee. Their $8,000 award is a testament to g3's ongoing commitment to uplifting and empowering Central Texas youth. Now celebrating their 20th anniversary, g3 has contributed a remarkable $138,600 through 22 grants to 20 nonprofits serving Bastrop, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties.

The Children’s Advocacy Center – Serving Bastrop, Lee and Fayette Counties is a safe, child-friendly organization where child abuse victims can receive comprehensive services, including forensic interviews, medical exams, therapeutic counseling, and victim advocacy services. The goal of the Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) is to minimize the trauma experienced by the victims they serve by providing them with a supportive environment and ensuring that all their needs are met in a coordinated and efficient manner.

Meagan Webb, Chief Executive Officer of CAC, attended g3's April 19 meeting to receive the giving circle's grant award. She commented, “It was inspiring to witness such thoughtful, engaged young women leading the Girls Giving Grants process, already making a meaningful impact in their communities. Their generosity directly ensures that every child we serve has access to high-quality medical care when it matters most.”

Girls Giving Grants is a youth initiative within Impact Austin that empowers young women to become compassionate leaders and advocates for positive change in their local communities. With a diverse membership comprising 63 young women from grades 8 to 12 across 21 public, private, and home-schools*, g3 embodies the spirit of collective giving and youth philanthropy. The impact of g3 extends far beyond each grant, fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, and civic engagement among its members. Through their annual contribution of $125, with $100 directly allocated to the grant, g3 members exemplify the transformative power of collective giving. Guided by adult and teen leaders, g3 serves as a beacon of hope and opportunity for young philanthropists, empowering them to effect meaningful change in the world around them.
