Girls Giving Grants (g3) is Impact Austin's youth initiative and giving circle for young women in grades 8-12. Members of g3 make annual awards to Austin-area nonprofits that serve Central Texas youth. Since founding in 2006, they have awarded $115,600 to 18 organizations. The 55 members of g3 will award a 2024 grant of $8,500 later this spring.
Last month, g3 members selected five semi-finalists. Subgroups called Application Review Committees (ARCs) advocated for each of the semi-finalists at February meetings, and two finalists were chosen on February 25. Congratulations to these nonprofits advancing to the site visit stage of grant review: Foster Angels of Central Texas and Sunday Lunchbox.
Members of Girls Giving Grants donate $125 per year, with $100 directly applied to that year's grant. For the 2024 award, g3 was able to boost the grant size with funds donated through the Amplify Austin fundraiser, which once again will support Girls Giving Grants. The next class of Girls Giving Grants will register during August-September, 2024.
While registration is currently closed for Girls Giving Grants, please learn more about g3 here.
Registration will open to new members during the summer of 2024.
Girls in grades 8-12 will be invited to join here.
