Resolution Honoring Christina Gorczynski

Whereas Christina Gorczynski has been the Executive Director of Impact Austin since August 2018;


Whereas Christina took the Executive Director position with enthusiasm, passion, and a vision; and


Whereas in the four years since Christina was Executive Director, she has:

  • increased Impact Austin’s membership and revenue,

  • professionalized the organization with structure and insightfulness for membership experience and volunteer success,

  • created an environment of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging,

  • created and built critical bridges and relationships for the benefit of Impact Austin and its membership,

  • elevated Impact Austin’s leadership in the community to help advocate for inclusivity and community justice,

  • through the COVID-19 pandemic, guided Impact Austin through a full pivot for operations, grant review and grant making, events, membership experience, and call to action to support our Community Partners and other non-profit organizations, and

  • given her all to the betterment of Impact Austin, the Board, our membership, trust-based philanthropy and non-profit community in Central Texas; now, therefore be it


Resolved, that the Impact Austin Board of Directors:


1. expresses its heartfelt, deep, and sincere thanks and gratitude to Christina for:

  • every ounce of effort and work she has done for Impact Austin;

  • every smile made and tears shed for the betterment of Impact Austin;

  • all of the heavy lifting she endured and managed to move Impact Austin to where it is today;

  • every decision, collaboration, consensus building, and relationship creation that defined her role as Executive Director of Impact Austin; and

  • leaving the organization and its membership in a much better place than when she accepted her position;

2. formally recognizes her family – Brett Merfish and sweet Mateo (who we have known

before and after he was brought into his loving family) - and thanks them for sharing

Christina with us;


3. expresses its complete and total support for Christina and her family as she navigates

to her next chapter; and


4. expresses its love for Christina as a person who has filled us with passion through her persona, her strengths and talents, and her wisdom.


The Board unanimously approved this motion on 8th day of June, 2022.
