Member Connections: Spirits and Community at Leanderthal Distilling

On a rainy Austin afternoon, 14 members of Impact Austin gathered at Leanderthal Distilling, a warm and inviting distillery in Leander. The business is co-owned by Impact Austin member Shari Kolding and Scott Calame.

Members and friends attending our Member Connections event included: Rebecca Birch, Terra Brimberry, Lauren Jenkins, Jenny Cotner, Robin Krumme, Kayla Omukawila, Azgari Lipshy, Shari Kolding (owner), Lauren Lewis, Tracey Nelson, Margaret Ballinger, and Beth Thorson

We were first treated to a tasting of several wonderful Leanderthal spirits, including JAVAgave - a delicious coffee liqueur. Following the tasting, we had the option of ordering fun and creative cocktails from an extensive and original menu.

Once we settled in with our cocktails, we played a wild game of Bunco, an easy dice game that creates a silly, loud, and welcoming connection. Member Rebecca Birch won most Buncos, and member Robin Krumme had a different sort of "win" with most losses. We were thrilled to have new members, seasoned members, and a few guests.
