Introducing Our New Members

Celebrating fifteen years of amazing impact, we are excited to introduce you to new members that we know you will want to get to know better. We asked them three basic questions – How did you find out about Impact Austin and what inspired you to join, what is your short and sweet biography, and what do you think might surprise or interest your new friends about you? Here are their answers!

Meet Kathy Hogle, and say “Hi!” the next time you see her.

“I first heard about Impact Austin at the Texas Women's Conference, but it took me more than two years to actually make the decision to join. While I was always captivated by the mission and the concept of collaborative giving, I was really looking for somewhere to make an investment – and not just with money. Ultimately, the women I kept meeting through the organization and the experience of the annual meeting convinced me that this was a great fit. I'm excited to be involved and inspired by the work we do."

“Chief juggler might be the best title for me these days. I have a fun, but crazy job in the tech industry supporting the Americas region, which makes for a diverse group of stakeholders speaking a few different languages and some very early conference calls. I have two delightful children at very different stages – my son is a junior in college and my daughter just started first grade. Add in college football games, after-school activities and some volunteer commitments, and it is a busy life. A very good, busy life."

“The past twenty years have been very much about family and my children and I am so grateful for that season, but I am also excitedly looking forward. I don't know if I am ready to call it a bucket list, but I am ready to say there's a lot I want to do that I haven't yet done. Writing and traveling, creating and speaking, advocacy and dig in and work hard to make good changes happen - that’s what I plan to be doing in the years to come.  It's a magical new horizon and I'm just getting started exploring it."

Meet Sarah Williamson and say hello the next time you see her!

“I was motivated to join after accepting Rachel Brownlow Lund's invitation to the Grant Finalist Event. The incredible work that nonprofits in the Austin area are undertaking was overwhelming. I was so inspired by the women around me to be able to make such a generous 'impact' for these organizations.”

“I am a Project Manager in the IT industry and was fortunate enough to grow up in Austin. My passion for community involvement was instilled in me by my incredible mother, who volunteered regularly with Meals on Wheels and mentor programs in local elementary schools. I aspire to follow in her footsteps by volunteering and donating to deserving local nonprofit organizations. I am currently serving as the President of the Young Women's Alliance and am so happy to join the Impact Austin team.”

“I was born to two Texas Exes and grew up a huge Longhorn fan but ultimately chose to attend (and graduate from) Texas A&M and have never worn a hint of burnt orange since! Gig 'em!”
