Impact Austin will reach an exciting milestone this year: $5 million and 57 grants awarded since our inception in 2003.
In 2015 we have made the cutting edge decision to pilot a $50,000 Catalyst Grant, which will be awarded in June, along with our five, traditional high-impact program grants valued at $80,000 each.
Impact Austin’s 2015 awards are based on 450 brilliant women who have joined together to make a $450,000.00 contribution to Austin Area Nonprofits and the critical needs they serve.
We are very proud of our innovative step forward with our pilot Catalyst Grant that will strengthen or grow a nonprofit organization in order to improve its future performance, impact and sustainability. By offering this grant, Impact Austin aims to serve an additional, well-qualified nonprofit organization that previously achieved finalist status during Impact Austin's diligent grant review process.
Earlier this month, our grant review committees kicked off with nearly 150 members serving in various capacities to produce carefully vetted grant finalists. With the addition of two Catalyst Grant finalists, twelve nonprofit organizations will present their grant proposals to the Impact Austin membership at our Annual Meeting on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Jewish Community Center of Austin.
