8 Reasons to be at Impact Austin's Annual Meeting on June 8

It's Impact Austin's party of the year - the biggest of our three Signature Events.

You don't want to miss it, and here are 8 reasons why!

It's all about our collective impact - and celebrating it! We donate as individuals while knowing that our grants are built collectively. Our Grant Review Committees make collective decisions at each step of review. As a membership, each vote matters in determining grant awards. And then we celebrate together as we welcome our new Community Partners!

It's a fabulous opportunity to introduce a friend or colleague to Impact Austin! Annual Meeting guests are welcome for only $10 each. We hope they'll be so inspired by the collective investments made in local nonprofits that they'll consider joining themselves! At the very least, they'll be on hand to applaud our Community Partners, who deserve the accolades. Register for yourself and a friend here.

The party itself! We'll return to our now-favorite location for Annual Meeting, the Special Events Center of the Austin Central Library at 710 W Cesar Chavez St. This bright, beautiful space exudes a festive spirit! We'll enjoy a full social hour as we sample light bites and libations from a new caterer.

We're celebrating the 20th Anniversary of GIrls Giving Grants! Since our g3 youth giving circle launched in 2006, they have awarded $138,600 to Austin area nonprofits serving youth. We'll meet their newest grantee, hear the results of their 2025 award, and offer up some well-deserved applause for our young philanthropists! Read more about g3's anniversary here.

Let's celebrate Impact Austin volunteers, too. As a member-powered organization, we love to show appreciation for all our volunteers. But members are invited to nominate outstanding volunteers among our Impact Austin colleagues. The winners of four special awards will be announced at Annual Meeting. There is time to submit your own nomination(s) by May 25. We'll also take time to thank incoming and outgoing members of our board.

Photo memories are made at Annual Meeting. Whether you capture your own selfies (send us a copy!), pose for our event photographer, or enjoy the photo booth, Impact Austin has an opportunity to gather photos that tell the story of our collective impact - and the celebration of that impact.

Connect with our newest Community Partners. During the pre-program reception, our grant finalists will be on hand to introduce their work, answer your questions, and share a few materials. During the program, we'll hear their recorded messages about how an Impact Austin grant will make a difference in their work.

Vote on 2026 awards and applaud our newest Community Partners! Members in attendance will cast their votes for specific grant awards. Those will be tallied alongside electronic votes from those unable to attend. Finally, 2026 Grant Awards will be presented that night!

Everything circles back to our collective impact, the heart of all we do. Let's celebrate it!
