Members, Community Partners, Friends, and Fans gathered together June 11, 2018, at Austin's City Hall Chambers to celebrate a special Impact Austin Tradition. Our Check Presentation Ceremony is held each year after the Annual Meeting where our Community Partners for the coming year are elected.
This year, we started out with a series of interviews of our 2018 Community Partner representatives by the talented Kim Barnes. Impact Austin Board Member Susan Palombo opened the meeting and thanked the City Council for their gracious permission to use the Council Chambers for this special event.
The Honorable Alison Alter, Austin City Council Member, District 10, and an active Impact Austin Member welcomed us to City Hall and thanked Impact Austin for what it has done for the City and surrounding area.
The Check Awards began with recognition of our new Community Partners by Impact Austin Grants Co-Chair Becky Austen, assisted by Laura Kane.
