Pipeline Latinitas: Equity for all Ages
Project Description:
Latinitas’ mission is to empower girls and gender-expansive youth to innovate through media and technology, and it has a vision to create courageous leaders in all areas of life. Founded in 2002, Latinitas’ clubs, camps, and conferences have served as a pipeline for more than 40,000 alumni to have economic opportunities through Austin’s rapidly growing technology and media sectors. Programs are offered at little or no cost in underfunded neighborhoods in public schools, libraries, and cultural centers. Latinitas delivers hands-on, activity-driven, culturally-relevant STEM programming (with an art component) to 2,000 girls, teens, young adults, and parents in Central Texas each year,
The grant is unrestricted and awarded in support of the mission and programs of Latinitas.
