BookSpring Wash & Read

Project Description:   

BookSpring helps build early literacy in Central Texas’ low-income children and families through increasing home libraries and reading aloud activities for children. BookSpring’s interventions support brain development, family interaction, skill building, and the motivation to read in children from birth through age 12. 


This grant will enable BookSpring to continue to receive, sort, and store donated books under approved safety and sanitation guidelines.

Grant Status:   

Bookspring received a $25,000 unrestricted Impact Austin grant enabling them to distribute 10,000 books to children in Central Texas during the pandemic.
