The organization submitting the application must be a public charity (not a private foundation) with tax-exempt status under Sections 501(c)(3) and 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

Organizations who have been awarded an Impact Austin Grant (Program or Catalyst) may not reapply for the following two years. For example, 2017 winners may not reapply until the 2020 grant cycle; 2019 winners must wait until the 2022 grant cycle to reapply.

PLEASE NOTE: In grant year 2020, Impact Austin is waiving the reapplication restriction. If an organization receives an Impact Austin grant in 2020, they are eligible to reapply the following year. After grant year 2020, this restriction will be reinstated.

If applying for a Program Grant, the organization’s proposal must:

  • Outline a project or program that targets a specific population for a specific duration and with specific measurable goals to be achieved.

  • Provide services in Bastrop, Hays, Travis, and/or Williamson counties, Texas.

  • Use the full amount of Impact Austin’s available grant.

  • Plan to expend the grant funds within 24 months.

  • Each grant applicant must select only one focus area under which it wishes to be considered. Impact Austin does not provide guidance as to which focus area is appropriate.
